Leave management software for Indian startups

ASHR.work is leave management software built for Indian startups: you set up EL, SL, CL and loss-of-pay leave types, balances accrue every month, managers approve in a click (or in Slack), and unanswered requests escalate automatically. Leave is in every plan, from ₹49 per employee a month.

What it does

Everything an Indian startup needs to stop tracking leave in a spreadsheet:

  • Leave types you define, such as Earned Leave, Sick Leave, Casual Leave and Loss of Pay.
  • Balances that accrue monthly (for example 1.5 days of EL) and reset yearly, with approved leave deducted automatically.
  • Approvals by the manager, with automatic escalation to the next level when a request waits too long.
  • Regional holiday calendars and company holidays in the same place as leave.
  • Apply for and approve leave from Slack with the ASHR.work Slack app.
  • Attendance, in the same product, feeds loss-of-pay days into payroll.

Why it suits a startup

You can be live in an afternoon: import employees and leave balances from a CSV, set your leave policy, and invite the team. Leave sits in the same product as payroll, attendance and onboarding, so you do not add a second tool when you grow.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to decide if ASHR.work is the right HR platform for your team.

Which leave types can I set up?

Any you need. Most Indian startups use Earned Leave (which accrues and may carry forward), Sick Leave, Casual Leave and Loss of Pay for days beyond the balance.

Can employees apply for leave from Slack?

Yes. With the ASHR.work Slack app installed, people apply for leave and managers approve it without leaving Slack.

What happens if a manager does not respond?

If a request is not approved or rejected within the escalation window your admin sets, it escalates to the next level, such as the manager's manager or HR, and both people are emailed.

How much does it cost?

Leave management is in every plan. Starter is ₹49 per employee per month ex-GST, billed for at least 20 employees, and includes payroll and attendance too.
