Leave Management
Configurable leave, automatic balances, and approvals that reach managers where they already work.
The problem
Leave is where HR tools quietly fall apart. Balances drift out of sync, accruals are calculated by hand, requests sit in inboxes, and managers approve blind — with no idea who else on the team is already off. Employees, meanwhile, just want to know how many days they have left without filing a ticket.
How we solve it
ASHR.work treats leave as a system, not a form. Leave types, balances and holiday calendars are all data-driven. Accruals and year-end resets run automatically on a schedule. Requests route to the right approver, escalate if they go stale, and can be actioned from email or Slack — so nothing stalls.
How it works
- 1
Configure your policy
Define leave types, annual allocations, and regional holiday calendars. Balances are tracked per employee, per type, per year.
- 2
Employees apply in seconds
From the web or with a Slack command, an employee requests time off. The request checks against their live balance and the team calendar.
- 3
Approvals route and escalate
The request lands with the employee’s manager via email and Slack DM with Approve/Reject actions. If it isn’t actioned in time, an escalation rule steps it up so leave never gets stuck.
Why it’s effective
Balances that are always right
Monthly accrual and yearly-reset jobs run automatically — no spreadsheets, no manual top-ups, no drift.
Approvals that actually happen
Managers act from the DM or email they already saw, and escalation catches the ones that would otherwise rot.
Fewer clashes
Team visibility and holiday calendars mean approvers can see conflicts before they say yes.
