Quick answer

As an admin, set up ASHR.work in five steps: create your tenant, invite employees, assign roles and managers, configure leave types and holidays, and announce it to your team. Most orgs go live in under 15 minutes.

Your setup checklist

  1. Create your tenant

Sign up at ashr.work and your tenant is provisioned automatically. You become the first admin.
  2. Invite employees

Admin → Employees. Add people one at a time. Each invite sends a secure onboarding email.
  3. Assign roles and managers

Admin → Role Management to set each person as admin, manager, or employee. Admin → Team Management to assign a reporting manager to each employee.
  4. Configure leave & holidays

Admin → Settings sets the leave escalation window (hours before a pending request auto-escalates). Open Holidays to seed your regional calendar.
  5. Launch

Announce the rollout, share the Help Center link, and point your team at Getting started for employees.

What should I do on day two?

  • Review the Reports dashboard to see adoption (headcount, pending leaves, approval rate, appraisal progress).
  • Explore the Documents module and upload offer/experience letter templates once so the team can self-serve.
  • Walk through Organisation to confirm the reporting tree matches reality.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to migrate data before going live?
No. You can invite people without pre-loading anything. Additional data (balances, documents) is added inside the product after launch.
Can I change roles after launch?
Yes. Admin → Role Management lets you change any user's role, including promoting an employee to manager mid-cycle.
Where do I configure leave rules?
Admin → Settings controls the leave escalation window. Leave type definitions (EL, SL, CL, LOP) are managed at the system level.
